"Egypt Through The Ages a Fifteen Day Tour" with WRTI host Rolf Charlston and escorted by Frances Andrews. This fifteen day tour includes rooms with full pyramid view in the elegant Oberoi Mena House Hotel in Cairo. We will learn the history of the pyramids and with our special permit, will be able to visit the newly excavated Workers Villages near the great pyramids with archeologist Dr. Lehner who is leading the excavation team. We will have the unusual pleasure of seeing a performance by real Whirling Dervishes in the Whirling Dervish Museum in Old Cairo. A performance in the Cairo Opera House is included. We will spend seven days in a luxurious cruise ship sailing on the Nile from Luxor to Aswan and back. Sailing with us will be the Cairo Conservatory's award winning classical music quartet. In Luxor, we will visit exquisite tombs of the kings and queens, including Ramses and the great Karnak and Luxor temples. We will also go to the Luxor Museum of Mummification. Our two nights in Aswan will include a flight to Abu Simbel, sailing on a felucca to a real Nubian village, and a meeting with Dr. Osama A W Abdel Meguid, Director of the Nubian Museum, and expert on Nubian History. Finally, an excursion to Alexandria with a visit to the newly re-opened Great Alexandria Library and more. There are too many special visits to list them all !!! Salzburg and Vienna ... the trip you've all been asking for !!!! These are cities that really celebrate the new year. Salzburg, the city of Mozart ... Vienna, the city of everyone. 2009 is the year of Haydn. This thirteen day elegant tour is loaded with music! From Beethoven's Ninth, to the Strauss Orchestra in Schoenbrunn Palace ... there are nine musical performances in all. We'll see some of the most magnificent museums in the world... from Baroque to ultra modern. This is an esquisite trip. Rolf Charlston is our host.

Egypt for Second Timers!
See the great library of Alexandria and the finds from Cleopatra's Palace. Visit the battlegrounds of El Alamien. We'll drive in 4X4's in the almost untouched Oasis of Siwa in Egypt's western desert. Then it's on to Bahariya and the Valley of the Golden Mummies. We'll see the White and Black Deserts, before going to the Temple of Abydos with its famous Pharoah list. Smell the flowers in Provence, feel Van Gogh’s torture and joy in Arles. Explore Aix en Provence, see Gaugin’s studio. Smell the wild flowers next to the Roman walls of Avignon, taste the wines, savor the food, conjure up Edith Piaf and enjoy music, art, and Montmartre in Paris.
